Fantasy Baseball 2019: April Showers and Struggles

In this week’s episode of the podcast, Felipe talks about his fantasy baseball keeper team and all the problems he’s suffered through despite getting off to a 3-0 start. All of this coming on the heels of acquiring catcher Gary Sanchez via trade, Felipe’s #1 catcher coming into the 2019 season.

Topics of discussion include:

Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard and their early-season struggles: Two of Felipe’s team keepers have not been very consistent as the team’s starting pitching, a strong suit entering the 2019 season, has been a disappointment.

Figuring out who to start at first base between Miguel Cabrera and Joey Gallo: one guy strikes out too much and the other guy isn’t hitting for much power, but both are hitting the ball pretty hard.

When to give up on guys like Francisco Mejia and Kyle Schwarber: Felipe explains the troubles both players have had this season and why he’s not giving up on them just yet.

Despite being productive, Felipe explains why he passed on both Brandon Lowe and Trey Mancini this week and left both players on the waiver wire.
