Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/17/17

NBA and NHL Playoffs have started which means baseball starts to take a backseat in mainstream the world of sports.  However it’s Patriots Day, which means Boston and Tampa Bay took the field at 11 A.M. today. Below are the plays from the remaining games on Monday night:

Low-Scoring Play

Milwaukee Brewers @ Chicago Cubs – John Lackey is the best pitcher available. The Brewers are a strong team and have been scoring runs, however, I like Lackey and the Cubs to pick up the intensity and go on a little bit of a run these next couple of weeks.  Lackey has the ability to contribute strikeouts and pick up the win.

Targets: Lackey, Shwarber, Bryant

High-Scoring Plays

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Los Angeles Dodgers – Neither team is throwing its ace, which could make this game high-scoring.  Both offenses are in the top of the league in scoring.  The game finished low-scoring, last night, which means a nice rebound for the lineups could be in store.

Targets: Lamb, Owings, Drury

Los Angeles Angels at Houston Astros – Jessie Chavez and Charlie Morton take the mound one night after the Angels were shutout and the Astros were rained out. Mike Trout also went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Sunday. Neither pitcher inspires fear in the opposing lineup, and there should be plenty of runs.

Targets: Trout, Escobar

Undervalued Play

Chris Owings – ARI – OF/SS – He is targeted above, however, he could be a cheap outfielder if you’re struggling to make a lineup.  He is batting .356 with 1 home run on a team that can score runs. Owings will crack my starting lineup tonight.
