Rise and shine it’s free lineup Friday! Last night we had some great games. I spent my night watching a AA game at the Trenton Thunder playing the Portland Sea Dogs. It’s not a MLB game but it felt good to be back at a ball park. Cespedes went yard for the Mets again and is making an early case for MVP. I know it’s a long season and it’s a long way off but this far Cespedes showed up to play. We have a ton of games on tap and I will give you the line up I am submitting today, so let’s gear up and win some money together!
Low-Scoring Plays
Arizona Diamondbacks @ Los Angeles Dodgers – These are two of the best offenses in the National League, however because of who is on the mound the game should be low scoring. Kershaw vs. Greinke – we know the story with Grienke and he is going to be cheap and is always in play. The Dodgers just came off a series with the Cubs with basically no offense, and Greinke is just as good as the Cubs’ pitchers.
Targets: Kershaw, Puig, Gonzalez
New York Mets @ Miami Marlins – The New York Mets have been on fire, they bashed in the Phillies earlier this week with Cespedes and Bruce leading the charge. Thor takes the mound for the Mets and should be able to shut down the Marlins who are hitting a collective .271. I like Syndergaard more against the Marlins more than I do Kershaw against the Diamondbacks.
Target: Syndergaard
High-Scoring Play
Tampa Bay Rays @ Boston Red Sox – Reigning Cy Young winner Rick Porcello takes the mound for Boston against a Rays team that just got blasted by the Yankees. Ramirez and Bogaerts looked good last night in the make up game against the Pirates. Jared Carrabis – a Boston blogger- is all about Moreland and I am too! He has set a record in Boston with the most consecutive doubles hit. Chris Archer is not an easy pitcher to hit against but I like Boston to break him down. With a solid pitcher taking the mound for Boston I like their team to break out today.
Targets: Porcello, Sandoval, Moreland
My DraftKings Lineup
Generally, the AL East is in most of my high-scoring targets. I like these games to be high-scoring however also lopsided. Look to stack your team with players from the Red Sox, Orioles, and Cardinals.
SP – Teheran
SP – Porcello
C – Molina
1B – Hanley Ramirez
2B- Baez
3B – Sandoval
SS – Russell
OF – Cespedes
OF – Trumbo
OF – Trout
It was hard to go against Syndergaard and Kershaw. Pitchers will make or brake you, however, today I like the superstar batters too much. Bringing the star batters into your lineup will limit your pitchers. The two I chose should have solid outings and give you points. Will they be the top pitchers of the night? Maybe, but Kershaw and Syndergaard simply cost too much.
