NHL GPP Thoughts, Stacks and Cheap Defenseman 1/19

daily fantasy hockey advice

GPP thoughts for 1/19 DraftKings Slate:

Tonight’s slate features eight games and is favorable for GPPs. I will look to fade Washington who faces Columbus on the road. I have a feeling that in order to take down a GPP you will need to fade Washington or Tampa Bay and I have a hard time fading Tampa. If you have a good feeling about a under radar team feel free to stack them with Tampa’s 1st or 2nd line.
Top Stacks for 1/19 DraftKings Slates:

300match728x90

Philadelphia – The Flyers will face a Toronto team that has lost 5 straight. While James Reimer has been solid on the road with a .948 save %, the Flyers have enough fire power fire power to justify taking a shot here. I will look to target this game with a stack of Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, and Gostisbehere for a cost of $23,000.

Tampa Bay – Tampa Bay has won five straight while scoring at least three goals in each game. They are also the largest favorite on the slate so look for the ownership to be fairly high. Both of Tampa’s top two line have been equally productive over this stretch so I will look to stack Tampa’s 2nd line and hope that they have lower ownership. A stack of Killorn, Johnson, Kucherov, and Hedman will cost $20,500.

Los Angeles – Both of Dallas goalies have struggled on the road this year with Niemi carrying a .905 save % and Lehtonen a .903 save %. Whoever Dallas starts at goalie I will be targeting. The Toffoli line has been incredibly productive over the last 10 games producing 10 goals. I will look for that line to produce multiple goals and will stack Kopitar, Toffoli, Lucic, and Doughty for a cost of $22,400.
Cheap defenseman to use to fill out your stacks.

David Schlemko ($2,900) New Jersey – Gets power play minutes and gets a good match vs. Calgary

Damon Severson ($2,800) New Jersey – Gets power play minutes and gets a good match vs. Calgary

Mark Barberio ($2,500) Montreal – Cold of late but is minimum price and produce offense.
