DraftKings NHL GPP Thoughts, Stacks and Cheap Defenseman 12/11

GPP thoughts for 12/11 DraftKings Slate:

Tonight’s slate looks to be full of good offenses in good spots. I think in order to take down a large GPP tonight you will have to differentiate your lineup. Do not be afraid to take players from teams playing on consecutive nights. This could give you the differentiation needed to finish with a high placing in a GPP. Be wary of Dallas’ first line, while they are extremely productive if Dallas’ other line produce first there might not be enough goals to go around.

Top GPP Stacks for 12/11 DraftKings Slates:

Detroit – While the matchup is not optimal I think a case can be made that a Detroit stack could take down a GPP. New Jersey only allows 2.36 GA/G but they are dealing with injuries and will be without their first line center Adam Henrique. The line juggling that will ensue might be just the opening Detroit will need. The target here is a stack of Nyquist, Sheehan, and Tatar. At $13,400 their youthfulness on the back-to-back could pay dividends here.

Chicago – Winnipeg is the heaviest penalized team in the league and has a bottom ten penalty kill. Chicago has a top ten play, which leads this matchup having real boom potential. Both teams are playing on consecutive nights and had to travel to tonight’s game so neither will receive a distinct advantage. Either of the top two lines from Chicago are in play here but I will look to a potentially lesser owned and cheaper stack of Toews, Teravainen, Hossa and Rundblad at $17,700. Remove Rundblad from the stack if Daley suits up.

Minnesota – Minnesota gets a juicy matchup against Anders Lindback tonight. Lindback has really struggled this season including his last game where he gave up five goals. Both of Minnesota’s top two lines are in play but I will look to a cheap stack of Koivu, Zucker, and Niederreiter. At $12,800 this stack is criminally underpriced.

Anaheim – Anaheim has only scored at a clip 1.93 GF/A but I want exposure here against a Carolina team that gave up six goals in their last outing against Dallas.I will not be looking any deeper than the first line and will target a stack of Rakell, Getzlaf, Perry, and Gibson at a cost of $23,200. The ability to add John Gibson really makes this stack attractive.

Other stacks to Consider: New York and Dallas are both in good spots but I think they will be high enough owned that you might want to look elsewhere for the larger GPPs.

Cheap defenseman to use to fill out your stacks.

David Warkosky ($2,600) Pit – Will see power play 1 time with Letang out.

Christian Ehroff ($3,000) LA – Gets power play time and scored 5.5 DK points in last game.

David Rundblad ($2,600) Chi – Will see power play time if Daley sits.

Connor Murphy ($2,500) Arz – If desperate Murphy is at min price and will see power play time.
