GPP thoughts for the 12/10 DraftKings Slate:
Today’s slate features 7 games with 6 of the games having pretty substantial favorites. For GPP’s I will be targeting only the games that I have strong opinions about and will avoid the rest. Buffalo is the third largest underdog on the slate which I find perplexing and will have plenty of exposure to them in GPPs.

Top GPP Stacks for 12/10 DraftKings Slates:
Detroit – Detroit gets Montreal on the backside of a back-to-back. Dustin Tokarski will get his first start of the season for a Habs team that has lost three straight. In Tokatski’s only NHL action of the season he gave up two goals on 13 shots in a relief appearance against Colorado. The top three lines for Detroit are in play here with preference of stacking the First and Third. A first line Stack of Larkin, Zetterberg, and Abdelkader will cost $16,600 which is reasonable considering all three share power play time together.
St. Louis – With the addition of Magnus Paajarvi to the first line, St. Louis is asking to be stacked until his salary adjusts. Add to the fact that they face a Flyers team giving up 2.7 GA/G and you can feel comfortable building lineups around the Blues’ first line. The stack of Paajarvi, Stastny, Tarasenko, and Shattenkirk will cost $21,110 leaving behind an average of $5,780 for your remaining players.
Winnipeg – Curtis McElhinney will get the start tonight for Columbus. McElhinney’s unimpressive record of 0-4-1 this season gives me nothing but confidence in the Winnipeg skaters. With these two teams leading the league in penalty minutes I expect a lot power play opportunities for both teams. The stack I want to target here is the first line of Ladd, Little Wheeler, and Byfuglien. While expensive at $24,200 it is playable if you slide Hellebuyck in at goalie at $6,400. In theory if the stack goes off Hellebuyck will be in good shape to get the win.
Buffalo – Calgary gives up 3.52 goals a game. That leads the league by nearly a half a point. Take a shot here with Buffalo and hope that they can score some goals against a terrible Calgary defense. I want exposure to both top lines, however my preference is a stack of Kane, Eichel, Gionta, and Ristolainen. At $19,000 this stack is affordable and carries huge upside potential.
Cheap defenseman to use to fill out your stacks.
Toby Enstrom ($3,300) Winnipeg – Gets power play time and faces a heavily penalized team.
David Rundblad ($2,600) Chicago – Will get power play time if Daley sits again with injury.
Chris Wideman (2,600) Ottawa – Has not produced much as of late but gets power play time and is nearly min. price.
Evgeny Medvedev (2,700) Philadelphia – Gostisbehere gets all the love but Medvedev also gets power play time and has points in two of his last four.
