Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice and Value Picks – 11/13

daily fantasy hockey advice

Each day throughout the NHL season I am going to be recommending players to target in your DFS lineups with the focus on tournament lineups (with DraftKings prices). I will try to avoid posting the obvious plays on a given night — for example Tyler Seguin is an automatic play for me every day he plays.

After a busy Thursday night in the NHL there are just four games on the schedule tonight.

[Play Daily Fantasy Hockey On DraftKings Tonight!]

C – Boone Jenner ($4,000) – CBJ
Jenner has been playing on the top line alongside Ryan Johansen and Nick Foligno as of late. Jenner has eight goals and two assists in sixteen contests this season. The Blue Jackets are playing the Penguins tonight. Pittsburgh can struggle defensively at times so I expect Fleury to face a fair share of shots tonight. At his price tag Jenner is a solid option as he will see a lot of ice time at even-strength and on the top PP unit.

C – Rickard Rakell ($3,100) – ANA
After missing a few games with injury Rakell stepped back into the Ducks lineup last game and played with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. He had two assists in shootout loss to the Oilers. Rakell is expected to remain on the top line tonight. At $3,100 it is a very inexpensive way to have exposure to the Ducks first line and top PP unit. The Ducks face the Islanders tonight. Pinnacle currently has the over/under set at 5.5 goals for this game and I won’t be surprised if it goes over.

RW – Corey Perry ($6,800) – ANA
Just as I said above for Rakell, I really like the Ducks matchup tonight. Perry has quickly turned his game around, as everyone expected he would, after a dreadful start to the season. He has nine points in his last eight games. Perry’s price tag likely won’t remain this low for very long so I will continue to take advantage of it while it remains below $7,000.

LW – Andre Burakovsky ($3,300) – WSH
Bob Hartley for some reason is planning on starting Karri Ramo in net again tonight after a loss on the road to Tampa Bay last night. Why he would start Ramo in B2B games on the road is beyond me. The Capitals should be able to have a field day tonight against the Flames who are struggling mightily in the defensive zone. I will likely be loaded up on the Capitals first line but I also want exposure to the second line which Nicklas Backstrom ($6,800) centers. A mini-stack of Backstrom-Burakovsky is very affordable tonight.

Other forwards I like tonight: A. Ovechkin ($9,600), S. Crosby ($7,800), R. Getzlaf ($6,600) E. Kuznetsov ($5,700), P. Datsyuk ($5,300), B. Bennett ($2,700)

D – David Savard ($3,500) – CBJ
Savard is the workhorse on the blueline for the Jackets. He has played over 25 minutes in three of the last five games. He anchors the top PP unit. Savard has yet to score this season but he has eight assists in sixteen games. He can also provide a blocked shot or two. Columbus should be able to score on Fleury tonight and it won’t be surprising if Savard’s name is on the scoresheet.

Other defensemen I like tonight: B. Burns ($6,900), S. Vatanen ($5,300), J. Manson ($2,800)

Goalies I like tonight: P. Grubauer ($6,900), A. Khudobin ($6,600)

Hope this can be a help to you guys tonight, let’s have a great night in DFS! Feel free to comment and ask questions below or on Twitter (@XNSports, @doshjaniels). Best of luck!
