3. A.J. Cann, South Carolina
Cann has started every game each season since securing the starting left guard spot for the Gamecocks back in 2011 as a redshirt freshman. The experienced Cann is now primed to be a second-round selection.
Though he’s a bit short at 6-foot-2, Cann has a great burst of the ball with good quickness. He has quick hands and uses his quick feet to get in good position and get good leverage on defenders. He puts 100 percent out on the field from start to finish and constantly competes.
The biggest knock on Cann is his overall athleticism, but has let his effort and work ethic make up for it. Coaches say he has excellent leadership skills and was voted a permanent team captain in 2013 as a redshirt junior.
