With former first-round pick Tyler Eifert waiting in the wings, Gresham seems very likely to be on his way out the door in Cincinnati.
Gresham is a gifted blocker and strong, but probably has not lived up to the standard as an athletic receiver the Bengals had originally hoped for when they drafted him in the first round back in 2010.
You know what you’re going to get with Gresham. He’ll likely catch on as a No. 2 tight end elsewhere.
*Just Missed The Cut: Owen Daniels
Daniels was once one of the most underrated tight ends in the league during his days in Houston, and at 32 the veteran still offers some solid production as a backup.
The Ravens and Broncos will both likely be in the mix for Daniels, particularly as either insurance for Dennis Pitta or a Plan B should the Broncos lose Thomas in free agency.
Daniels caught 48 balls for 527 yards and four touchdowns in 2014 in Gary Kubiak’s system. He has some miles left on his tires.
