Oft-considered a one-trick pony, Smith’s game has evolved over the years and has surfaced as Joe Flacco‘s top wide receiver down the stretch of the season and into the playoffs.
Smith boasts uncanny speed and his hands have improved, but there are still going to be skeptics afraid he’s simply a vertical threat like Mike Wallace was a few offseasons ago.
While Baltimore should make a valiant effort to keep Smith in town, and reportedly offered him a fair deal prior to the season, if he goes elsewhere he’s best fitted as a high-tier No. 2 option in the passing game.
