K.J. McDaniels’ Insane Block Gave a Fan a Concussion

Last month, Sixers forward K.J. McDaniels laid a massive block on Greivis Vasquez, a memorable feat that will go down as one of the best defensive plays of the year.

One Raptors fan will remember the block better than anyone, however.

Per Sports Illustrated:

“I surprised myself,” McDaniels said of the block. “There was a lady who got hit by the ball who got a concussion, I believe.” McDaniels, upon hearing what happened, sent flowers.

The SI profile notes that the Sixers’ 6-foot-6 forward is 13th in the league in block percentage, right behind top big men like Dwight Howard and Serge Ibaka.

McDaniels has been a rare bright spot on a team that many believe couldn’t beat a lot of college squads.
