Daily Fantasy Hockey: DFS DraftKings Values – November 26

Troy Brouwer

Teams on the second night of a back to back today include Colorado, Los Angeles, and Winnipeg. Colorado will be starting third string goalie Calvin Pickard tonight, while Los Angeles has to go into Minnesota. Winnipeg is going to visit a Buffalo team that has been playing much better hockey (or at least winning games) over the last couple of weeks.

Chicago and Pittsburgh are big favorites today, with Covers Experts having both of them at -200. Chicago gets Colorado and Pickard, so that’s obvious. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh hosts Toronto tonight, and that explains itself. Note that there have been lineup changes of late in Minnesota and San Jose, so check Daily Faceoff for the latest lineup configurations.

As always, check Left Wing Lock for goalie confirmations.

Players will be in order of perceived value, by position, and there should be enough to mix-and-match for each type of game available on Draft Kings. Some positions might only have a few plays, some might have several. It all depends on the day, the matchups, and the price.

Remember: players are in order of value, not necessarily in cost. Just because Sidney Crosby is $8000 one day doesn’t mean he’s a better value than Andrew Shaw at $4000.

Cash Games

Center Wing Defense Goalie
Johansson (WSH) – $3900 Hornqvist (PIT) – $7400 Niskanen (WSH) – $3600 Fleury (PIT) – $9100
Filppula (TBL) – $4400 Nyquist (DET) – $5100 Garrison (TBL) – $4500 Crawford (CHI) – $8100
Couture (SJS) – $6300 Vanek (MIN) – $4100 Maatta (PIT) – $3500 Luongo (FLA) – $7200
Richards (CHI) – $4800 Brouwer (WSH) – $4000 Braun (SJS) – $3200
Zetterberg (DET) – $5800 Kunitz (PIT) – $5200 Kronwall (DET) – $4200
Crosby (PIT) – $9000 Marleau (SJS) – $5900
Scheifele (WPG) – $3800 Kane (CHI) – $7600
Toews (CHI) – $5900 Kucherov (TBL) – $4300

  • The Islanders are one of the worst penalty-killing teams in the NHL. I would recommend having one of Niskanen-Johansson-Brouwer in cash game lineups today.
  • Gustav Nyquist has 38 goals in his last 78 regular season games, and is cheaper than Kris Versteeg. I digress.
  • Chicago has a great matchup, as does Pittsburgh. Those two teams, along with Tampa Bay, should be the foundation of cash game lineups today.

Guaranteed Prize Pools/Tournaments

Center Wing Defense Goalie
Crosby (PIT) – $9000 Hornqvist (PIT) – $7400 Ehrhoff (PIT) – $4000 Luongo (FLA) – $7200
Toews (CHI) – $5900 Saad (CHI) – $4700 Clendening (CHI) – $3700 Enroth (BUF) – $6300
Johnson (TBL) – $5000 Kane (CHI) – $7600 Stralman (TBL) – $3500
Couture (SJS) – $6300 Palat (TBL) – $4800 Meszaros (BUF) – $2900
Pavelski (SJS) – $7700 Kucherov (TBL) – $4300
Ennis (BUF) – $5400 Moulson (BUF) – $5100
Girgensons (BUF) – $4600 Brouwer (WSH) – $4000
Johansson (WSH) – $3900

  • The first three teams – Pittsburgh, Chicago, Tampa Bay – should be no surprise. They all have good matchups, and will all be highly-owned.
  • San Jose has a decent matchup tonight, even if they’re not a very good team themselves. The lineups have been changed up a bit, though.
  • Buffalo gets Ondrej Pavelec tonight, and the Sabres have managed not to get wildly outshot in nearly half their games this month! In all seriousness, they’re a good play to get off the board with low-ownership players.

Slim’s Pickins (bargain plays)

Vladislav Namestnikov (TBL-C, $2500) – A healthy scratch in Tampa Bay’s last game, I expect a good performance tonight (provided he’s not scratched again, that is).

Blake Comeau (PIT-W, $2900) – Still in Pittsburgh’s top-six forward mix.

Paul Postma (WPG-D, $2500) – The injury to Tobias Enstrom has put Postma on the power play.

Good luck!
