3. Sanchez leads Eagles past Texans

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was forced from the game due to injury on the final play of the first quarter Sunday against the Texans, and paved the way for Mark Sanchez to play the role of hero.

The former New York Jets quarterback came off the bench to throw for 202 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions to lead Philadelphia into first place in the NFC East with a 31-21 road win over the Texans.

Sanchez is expected to start in place of Foles, who according to Comcast Philadelphia suffered a broken collarbone. An MRI is set to be taken on Monday, but it’s expected Foles will miss between four to six weeks. However, Aaron Rodgers missed eight weeks with a similar injury last year.

In any case, Sanchez will make his first start since 2012 in Week 10 against the Panthers on Monday Night Football on Nov. 10.
