None of the teams playing tonight are on the second of a back to back, so every team on the slate tonight should be relatively rested.
Boston is the most heavily favored team tonight, with Tampa Bay in a distant second. Chicago also has a pretty good matchup, but I can understand if people don’t want to rely on a goalie on the road in the non-vs. Buffalo category.
A couple of these games should be high-paced hockey like NYI/COL and CHI/OTT. Picking players from those games can provide a nice floor through shots and blocked shots.

As always, check Left Wing Lock for goalie confirmations.
Players will be in order of perceived value, by position, and there should be enough to mix-and-match for each type of game available on Draft Kings. Some positions might only have a few plays, some might have several. It all depends on the day, the matchups, and the price.
Remember: players are in order of value, not necessarily in cost. Just because Sidney Crosby is $8000 one day doesn’t mean he’s a better value than Andrew Shaw at $4000.

- I will be hard-pressed to not have a couple Lightning players in most cash lineups. Stralman is still cheap and that top line has good values all across it.
- There are pretty cheap goalies with very good matchups tonight. It’s not necessary to pay up for a goaltender for this slate of games.
- I couldn’t argue with an expensive defenseman tonight like Hamilton or Keith. There are a lot of good values elsewhere and that makes it easier to swallow their salaries.

- That Florida/Arizona game is a game that I don’t think many people will be on. Picking a side and grabbing the goalie from that side isn’t a bad idea. I’ll lean Arizona, but can make an argument for both.
- Boston, Tampa Bay, and Chicago are key matchups, but most people should be on some combination of those three teams. That makes their differentiation a little difficult.
- I do like Vancouver tonight as a contrarian play. The Habs haven’t looked overly sharp on the Western trip so far, so it’s possible that poor play keeps up.
Slim’s Pickins (bargain plays)
Vladislav Namestnikov (TBL-C, $2500) – Second power play duties to go along with easy 5-on-5 matchups.
Simon Gagne (BOS-W, $2500) – There’s no power play time here, but he’s playing alongside Patrice Bergeron now.
Nick Holden (COL-D, $2700) – Still getting top power play minutes for Colorado, facing a team with a poor penalty kill.
Good luck!
