Value Plays
Quarterback
Ryan Fitzpatrick $5,700
- Faces Eagles defense, who is 27th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.
- Scored at least one touchdown in all but one game this season.
- Eagles starting corners have allowed 58 catches for 840 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
- In his career, Fitzpatrick has averaged 18.2 fantasy points against bottom ranked pass defenses.
Teddy Bridgewater $5,200
- Faces Redskins defense, who is giving up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
- Washington is one of the better rush defenses in the NFL, so Minnesota will have to beat them through the air.
- The Redskins’ secondary has three corners who have allowed over a 100 passer rating in coverage this season.
- Washington’s safeties have given up five touchdowns in coverage on only 18 receptions.
- Cheapest starting quarterback on DraftKings, and will allow flexibility to add stars to your lineup.
Running Back
Jeremy Hill $4,000
- Gio Bernard is likely to miss this weekend’s game, making Hill the starter.
- Facing Jaguars defense, who has given up the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs on DraftKings.
- Jacksonville has allowed 795 yards rushing this season to running backs.
- The Jaguars have allowed opposing running backs to catch 49 passes this season. With Bernard out, Hill will see his role expand to the passing game as well.
- With Paul Posluszny out, the Jaguars will be starting two linebackers who weigh less than Hill, that will take a toll and give Hill the upper hand in the fourth quarter, where the Bengals are averaging just under four yards per carry as a team.
- One of the cheapest options at running back, which allows for spending at other positions.
Wide Receiver
DeAndre Hopkins $5,400
- Faces Eagles defense, who has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this weekend.
- Will likely line up against Bradley Fletcher, who has allowed 429 yards and four touchdowns this season.
- The Eagles gave up two long touchdowns last week, and Hopkins has scored three touchdowns this year. He scored on a 76 yarder, and a 35 yarder. With the Eagles allowing big plays, and Hopkins being a big play receiver, “Nuk” could catch a deep touchdown against one of the NFL’s worst cornerback tandems.
- Hopkins has scored double-digit fantasy points in all but one game this season, making his floor high and his ceiling higher.
Tight End
Larry Donnell $4,600
- Faces the Indianapolis Colts, who have given up 41 catches for 527 yards and five touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season.
- The Colts have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends in PPR formats. (like DraftKings)
- Opposing tight ends have caught five passes or more in all but two games this season against the Colts.
- Donnell caught seven passes for 90 yards in his last game, and with Victor Cruz out, he is going to be targeted more and more.
- The Colts starting inside linebacker, D’Qwell Jackson, has allowed 28 catches on 31 targets this year in coverage.
- At just $4,600, Donnell leaves room for top options at running back or receiver in your lineups.
