Caution: the strength of schedule is about to increase
The Cowboys at 3-1 are currently in a timeshare with the Eagles for first place in the NFC South. That’s all well and good through the first month of the season, as they try to prove they are legitimate contenders this season. The success of the offensive line, running game, quarterback and upstart defense have given us reason to believe.
But Dallas’ success through the first four games has been against teams with a combined 4-10 record. The road is about to get much tougher.
The Cowboys face Houston, Seattle, New York Giants, Washington, Arizona and Jacksonville before the Week 11 bye. In contrast, those teams have a combined 11-11 record.
