1. DeMarco Murray is a legitimate MVP candidate
Dallas’ oft-injured running back is healthy and flaunting his skills. Murray leads the league in carries with 99 and yards with 534, which is almost 200 yards more than the second-leading rusher, Le’Veon Bell.
Murray has been the catalyst for this offense, which is sporting a legitimate balanced attack for the first time in quite some time. Murray has eclipsed 100 yards rushing in every game this season, which includes the 49ers, Rams and Saints Weeks 1, 3 and 4, all considered to have pretty solid front sevens. He’s also scored a touchdown in every one of those games, including two on Sunday night in the win over New Orleans.
Right now, Murray is legitimate NFL MVP candidate as he makes his case to be the NFL’s leading rusher in 2014. So long that the Cowboys continue this magical season, Murray has to be the front-runner ahead of any of the quarterbacks in the mix.
