Jose Altuve broke Craig Biggio‘s club record for hits in a season with his 211th hit on Wednesday night. With the hit, Altuve takes over Craig Biggio who hit 210 during the ’98 season.
Altuve joins exclusive company with the likes of Ty Cobb, Cal Ripken Jr., Paul Molitor, Tony Gwynn, and Lou Gehrig who also had 211 hits in one season. With 11 games left in the 2014 MLB season Altuve looks to add more hits, and a batting title to his trophy case.
