6. Vikings sticking with Adrian Peterson … for now
There were whispers this weekend that Minnesota could trade or release Adrian Peterson in light of his indictment for child abuse. However, the New York Post reports the Vikings are not going to release the All-Pro running back, but will make an announcement as early as Monday, perhaps suspending him before the league can step in.
It seems odd any team would be willing to trade for Peterson, unless his case proves to be completely false. First-time offenders of the NFL’s domestic violence policy are usually granted a six-game suspension.
