The biggest addition to the Minnesota defense is new head coach Mike Zimmer, who has a knack for transforming units. The team let Jared Allen go in free agency, allowing Everson Griffen to take over at right defensive end. The Vikings drafted outside backer Anthony Barr with their first-round pick, and signed Captain Munnerlyn from Carolina and Linval Joseph from the Giants in free agency.
