The Oakland Athletics are locked into the top spot in the XN Sports MLB Power Rankings after another huge trade to land a top-notch starter.

There is always plenty of hype leading up to the trading deadline every July 31. Rarely does it live up to the hype, with teams generally completing deals that hardly qualify as blockbusters.

This year, though, was a different story. Teams were bold, trading away stars and top prospects. It turned into one of the most exciting trade deadlines in years.

So, now, we no longer have to question whether teams are buying or selling for the stretch run. We now know how each team views itself heading down the stretch. And here is how we view the teams as they currently stand.
