Connolly has long been a favorite in New England. And while he’s currently penciled in as the Patriots’ starting right guard, his roster spot is believed to be in “serious jeopardy.”
The vet is due $3 million this season, and his backup, Josh Kline, has impressed while filling in for Logan Mankins. Marcus Cannon is also an option, meaning Connolly is becoming more expendable.
