Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – June 23

Cincinnati Reds (Simon) at Chicago Cubs (Samardzija)

I’ve been waiting for Alfredo Simon to fall off but it hasn’t happened yet – he has a 3.38 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 4.25 K:BB ratio for the month of June. I have no qualms about using him tonight against the Cubs. I will not be chasing too many Reds bats against Samardzija but with the way Mesoraco is swinging it, I’ll be tempted with him and Bruce tonight.

Devin Mesoraco (C) – $6464

Jay Bruce (OF) – $5337

Alfredo Simon (SP) – $14,403

I’ll avoid Samardzija tonight. The Reds lineup is coming together and Samardzija has been fairly volatile as of late. In a large GPP, sure, because of the strikeout upside. I just don’t really trust him here. I’ll probably just stay away from the Cubs altogether here tonight.
