Thomas Müller was on point Monday as Germany took on Portugal.
Müller scored a hat trick as Germany rolled Portugal, 4-0, and in doing so becomes an early favorite to again capture the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot honor.
Müller showed off his offensive skill-set, scoring in a multitude of ways, giving him a career total of eight goals at the World Cup at just 24 years old. Here’s a look back at each one of the goals that will haunt Portugal until their next match.
There was the rebound goal.
After the Portugal goalkeeper made the save, Müller took the rebound and easily got it past the goalkeeper.
There was the make-you-look-silly goal.
With a little help from his teammate, Müller wasted no time, getting it past a Portugal defender and the goalkeeper to the back of the net.
Unstoppable.
And there was the no-you-don’t goal.
Nobody could stop Müller, especially on this day, and that very much included Portugal’s goalie. In a one-on-one match-up, Müller easily found the corner of the net.
