New York Yankees (Whitley) at Seattle Mariners (Elias)
Whitley is a good option because of his price and match-up. I personally won’t be using him because I don’t have a lot of trust in him yet (his starts have been against the Mets, Cubs, Cardinals, Twins, Royals). I won’t be going after many Yankees bats against Elias, either.
Jacoby Ellsbury (OF) – $5902
Brian McCann (C) – $4289
Elias has already faced the Yankees once this year (early May) and went seven inning, allowing two runs and striking out 10. In six home starts (36.1 innings) he’s given up three home runs, in seven road starts (45.1 innings), he’s given up six home runs. I’ll have him as my third option tonight. I will be staying away from their non-big lefty bats, though.
Roenis Elias (SP) – $12,471
Robinson Cano (2B) – $7110
Kyle Seager (3B) – $5246
Michael Saunders (OF) – $5050
Good luck and here’s today’s lineup!
