Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – May 13

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Welcome to NBA Daily Fantasy in the playoffs. The way it works is a two-day slate, giving each player in the postseason an opportunity to play one game. For example, if the Spurs play on day X, and the Heat on day Y, both days are included in one salary game. So it is a four-game slate. Set your lineups as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Will Barton POR ($3,765)

Barton has come out of nowhere for the Trailblazers in the last few games. In three of his last four, he has 10 fantasy points in eight minutes, 14.25 fantasy points in 12 minutes, and last night he posted 23.5 fantasy points in 30 minutes of work. Barton was on fire, shooting over 50 percent from the field, and with his low price of $3.7K, expect it to rise for tomorrow’s game. Great value for Barton is anything north of 12 fantasy points, but seeing that he has averaged around 13 per game, (including a -1.75 point anomaly) he is a great value at guard for tonight’s contest on DraftStreet.

Guard

Alan Anderson BKN ($4,572)

Anderson is a safe play tonight, which is hard to come by at a cheap price of $4.5K. He is averaging just above 20 minutes per game so far in the playoffs and is averaging around 11 fantasy points per game in his last three games. The Nets are facing elimination, so expect everyone to come out firing against the Heat tomorrow night, and Anderson will be one of those guys. At $4.5K, great value from the guard would be anything above 14 fantasy points, but as a safe option, anything over 11 fantasy points will be sufficient.

Forward

Al Harrington WAS ($4,530)

Harrington was our forward value for yesterday’s contest at a minuscule $2K, but his price is still very cheap tonight at $4.5K. Get him into your lineups again for tonight’s contest. Here is yesterday’s excerpt:

“Yes, you read that correctly. Harrington’s price on DraftStreet is just [$4.5K]. Since he scored 21.5 fantasy points in 23 minutes last night, be sure to add him. [15] fantasy points from Harrington is good value, because of the flexibility he adds. But seeing as the Wizards are giving him minutes, he is a must-play [at his price]. Get him into your lineups, and watch how much cap room you have for the remainder of your team.”

Optimized Lineup

G – Will Barton POR ($3,765)

G – Alan Anderson BKN ($4,572)

G – Damian Lillard POR ($15,213)

F – Paul George IND ($18,119)

F – Al Harrington WAS ($4,530)

F – LeBron James MIA ($21,449)

C – Roy Hibbert IND ($11,729)

U – Blake Griffin LAC ($19,954)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
