Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – May 11

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Welcome to NBA Daily Fantasy in the playoffs. The way it works is a two-day slate, giving each player in the postseason an opportunity to play one game. For example, if the Spurs play on day X, and the Heat on day Y, both days are included in one salary game. So it is a four-game slate. Set your lineups as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Damian Lillard POR ($16,463)

Lillard has been incredible so far this postseason in his first trip to the playoffs. He has averaged 23.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game to go along with a steal per contest. At $16.4K, great value for him would be at 38 fantasy points, which he has reached four times this postseason, and just missing it two more times. Why pick him in tonight’s contest? The Trailblazers are facing elimination tomorrow night at home and Lillard is not about to let the Spurs celebrate on his home floor. Expect him to come out firing, and stretch this series to the fifth game.

Forward

Mirza Teletovic BKN ($5,493)

This will be Teletovic’s second straight time as a forward value, and his price remains the same. Yesterday he was our value at forward and posted 17 fantasy points last night in a week against the Heat. With two straight games of 17 fantasy points or more, Teletovic’s price is sure to rise. Be sure to add him tonight, because his price hike will likely take him out of a value position. He is averaging 16 points and four rebounds per game in his last two contests against the Heat.

Center

Steven Adams, OKC ($5,712)

Adams was our choice at center for yesterday’s contest, but his price was $1.6K lower. Still, Adams is the best value on the board at center considering that he could still reach three times his salary. Here is yesterday’s excerpt:

“Adams has quietly been good for the Thunder so far this postseason. Since becoming a part of the rotation, he has averaged 20 minutes per contest. In these 20 minutes he is averaging four points and over four rebounds per game. That does not sound like much, but for a player that only costs [$5.7K], that is a bargain. He is averaging around 12 fantasy points per game in the last five contests, which gives him a value of [two and a half] times his salary, should he reach his average. Get Adams into your lineups, and reap the benefits of cap flexibility.”

Optimized Lineup

G – Damian Lillard POR ($16,463)

G – Manu Ginobili SA ($11,772)

G – Dwyane Wade MIA ($13,930)

F – Mirza Teletovic BKN ($5,493)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
