Kansas City Royals (Duffy) at Seattle Mariners (Iwakuma)

Danny Duffy is one of my pitching targets for today. Sure, he walks a lot of guys, but also has a big strikeout arm and the Mariners are fairly poor at hitting left-handed pitching. How bad? About as bad as the Astros. I won’t be taking too many of their hitters against Iwakuma, though.

Danny Duffy (SP) – $12,355

Seattle’s hitters are to be avoided but I have a tough time not taking Iwakuma, even if he is facing another pitcher I want to draft. I can understand wanting to see a solid outing before using him, but it will be tough for me not to.

Hisashi Iwakuma (SP) – $16,840
