St Louis Cardinals (Lynn) at Chicago Cubs (Hammel)
Lance Lynn has been very good in half his starts but I’m not willing to flip a coin on nearly 20-percent of my budget. He could very well carve up the Cubs today but I’m not going to risk it against a team averaging six runs scored over each of the last three games.
Jhonny Peralta (SS) – $5200
Matt Carpenter (3B) – $5744
Hammel is interesting for today because he’s very cheap and has pitched very well so far this year. That said, he’s facing what is normally a very good hitting team and he’s due for a major regression. He’s a very nice gamble in a GPP but I won’t use him in double-ups.
Starlin Castros (SS) – $6155
Good luck and here’s today’s lineup!
