Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 2

Detroit Tigers (Porcello) at Kansas City Royals (Shields)

Rick Porcello has pitched better but I’m still not using him for DFS purposes. Normally, I wouldn’t be very happy about hitters against James Shields, but there are a couple of Tigers hitters with big samples against Big Game James who have hit very well against him. I would probably still stay away from Miggy for now, though.

Austin Jackson (OF) – $6321

I love Shields but the Tigers raked against him last year (4.96 ERA in five starts) so I think I’d rather just sit this one out with him. Left-handed hitters for Kansas City are providing great value today against Porcello so there’s a nice mini-stack there for GPPs. Otherwise, they still make good values for double-ups.

Alex Gordon (OF) – $6148
