Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 2

Jose Abreu

Washington Nationals (Strasburg) at Philadelphia Phillies (Lee)

Two of the top three highest priced pitchers for tonight are in the same game.

After some rough outings to start the year, Strasburg has two earned runs and 20 strikeouts in his last 13 innings pitched. The only pitcher the Phillies have done real well against in recent games is Trevor Cahill so I think I’d take Strasburg in this one, though there’s no real wrong answer I think. They have one cheap hitter with exceptional numbers against Lee, though.

Stephen Strasburg (SP) – $21,672

Danny Espinosa (2B) – $3797

As is always the case, Lee has been walking almost no one and striking out a lot of batters. He is getting BABIP’d to death, though, giving up 52 hits in just 41 innings pitched. That will regress, but I’d rather not bet over 22-percent of my budget on numbers equalizing. I will probably just avoid the Phillies altogether today.
