Minnesota Twins (Gibson) at Tampa Bay Rays (Price)
Kyle Gibson is an interesting name because he’s pitching way over his head to start the season for the Twins (ERA of 0.93 despite nearly as many walks as strikeouts) but he’s also facing a light-hitting Rays team. He’s still a non-starter for me because of the K:BB rate, but it’ll be interesting to see if the luck continues tonight.
Chris Colabello (OF) – $4530
David Price has been shaky this year, but it’s more in his surface numbers and not everything else. He’s not walking guys and his strikeouts are away up, but he’s getting hit hard at times. Until I see him (and his numbers) settle, I’d rather just avoid his high price tag. I do like some of their hitters making some noise against Gibson, though.
Ben Zobrist (2B) – $7233
Matt Joyce (OF) – $5905
