Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 22

Rajai Davis

New York Yankees (Tanaka) at Boston Red Sox (Lester)

Tanaka’s price tag today puts him as the fifth-most expensive starter today and that presents an interesting dilemma. It’s probably the cheapest he’s going to be for a while (assuming he keeps pitching well) but it’s also at Fenway Park. I think he’s worth the risk tonight, it’s not like the Red Sox bats have really started to come alive yet.

Masahiro Tanaka (SP) – $19,222

Brian McCann (C) – $5704

Jon Lester has been off to a fantastic start this year, but probably his worst start of the year so far came against these Yankees. He was still very good that start – 6.2 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 ER, 6 K – but that means his price tonight likely represents his ceiling. I’m not a guy that typically uses pitchers without some upside, and I don’t see it in Lester tonight.
