Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 16

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Johnny Cueto

Colorado Rockies (De La Rosa) at San Diego Padres (Cashner)

De La Rosa’s problem so far this year, as is the case with many struggling pitchers early on, is home runs. That should be remedied somewhat by going to Petco. I went with Nicasio last night and he did fine, I will go to the well again with De La Rosa tonight. I would avoid Colorado hitters against Cashner, though.

Willin Rosario (C) – $5521

Jorge De La Rosa (SP) – $13,625

Cashner threw a one-hit shutout in his last outing and that’s the type of stuff that he has. He’s been rocked by Colorado in the past but that was typically in Coors Field. It’s not a bad idea to go with Cashner in this one, overall I think this is a very low scoring game. Either pitcher is fine depending on the budget (with a lean to Cashner in general).

Andrew Cashner (SP) – $17,610
