Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 16

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Johnny Cueto

Kansas City Royals (Guthrie) at Houston Astros (Keuchel)

Kansas City has had real problems swinging the bat this year; they have the fewest runs scored in the AL, by far the fewest home runs (2), and the second-lowest OPS (.620). I will be avoiding their hitters until I see signs of turn around. That goes for Jeremy Guthrie, too, as he’s flying by the skin of his teeth right now.

Dallas Keuchel is a solid cheap option for tonight because of who he’s pitching against and his arm: Keuchel has 11 strikeouts in 12 innings and his problem has been giving up home runs (which shouldn’t be an issue). It’s a gamble, but many cheap pitchers are. Also, rookie George Springer was called up though he isn’t on the Draftstreet list yet.

Dallas Keuchel (SP) – $12,859

Jose Altuve (2B) – $5649
