Columbus Blue Jackets at Florida Panthers
All Columbus has left to play for is to finish seventh or eighth, the difference between the Bruins and the Penguins. Because of that, they might be tempted to rest some guys tonight so keep an eye on websites like Daily Faceoff once game time gets close.
Columbus has been fairly lucky this year with scheduling as the team has only played two back-to-back games on the road all year, and tonight will be the third and final following their loss in Tampa Bay last night. The team has only given up 12 goals in their last seven games but I would wait and see who gets the start in net before getting excited: If Curtis McElhinney gets the nod, it’s two in a row for him. If not, I kind of like Bobrovksy in net for any type of DFS game.
The Panthers are a pretty bad team but they do have nine goals in their last three games and Brandon Pirri is riding some kind of hot streak right now (four goals and two assists in his last six games). As per usual, avoid most other Florida players.
Columbus has won both meetings with the Panthers this year and have scored 10 goals in the meantime. The only thing that would shy me away from stacking their power play in this one is if they decide to sit some players, so make sure to check starting rosters.
