Toronto Maple Leafs at Ottawa Senators
It’s fitting that these two teams play each other on the final Saturday of the season, seeing as both were disappointments in their own right this year.
Toronto went into Florida a couple of nights ago and while the final score was just 4-2 for the Panthers, the Maple Leafs look completely out of gas (or they just stopped playing hard, whichever). This team is demoralized from their collapse and I think this is a pretty solid night to fade them. This team has only scored four goals in their last three games anyway, so it’s not like they’ve been producing despite their lack of on-ice success.
Ottawa has been out of it for longer than Toronto but they are still producing and still winning games; the team has gone 3-1 in their last four games while averaging three goals for per game over that stretch. Not much has changed in the way of lines or anything, though paying attention to the pre-game skate in case any injuries pop up is always advised.
These teams have played three games against each other this year and there has been 24 total goals scored in those games and no less than seven in any of them (and neither team has scored fewer than three in any of those individual games). There should be lots of DFS value here tonight, though I might stay away from the high-priced Leafs players.
