Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 12

Chicago Cubs (Villanueva) at St. Louis Cardinals (Wainwright)

For his career (albeit mostly in smaller samples), Carlos Villanueva has been pretty solid against Cardinals hitters in the non-Matt Holliday category. There’s a lot of risk here, starting anyone at Busch Stadium, so I would probably avoid doing so in non-GPPs. I think it goes without saying that I’m not looking at Cubs hitters facing Wainwright, either.

Of course Wainwright makes a solid start today but I don’t know if I’d roll him out; his numbers against Chicago last year were good but by no means eye-popping. Also, he’s priced as the top pitcher today and I don’t have him at the top of my board. I’d probably just look at Matt Holliday and leave the rest alone.
