Cleveland Indians (Masterson) at Chicago White Sox (Paulino)
Masterson absolutely carved the White Sox last year to the tune of a 0.83 ERA over four starts last year, with two of those being of the complete game variety. I don’t like their hitters going into a fairly blind match-up against Paulino, though, so my Cleveland recommendations probably won’t go past Masterson.
Justin Masterson (SP) – $16,319
Nick Swisher (1B) – $5896
I would be avoiding Paulino until he proves that he’s found his old stuff back. He’s been crushed so far this year and almost no amount of discount will make him worth it. I am also avoiding their hitters because of Masterson so I guess I’m just avoiding the White Sox completely today.
