Pittsburgh Pirates (Liriano) at Milwaukee Brewers (Peralta)
Liriano gave up an astounding 20 hits against in just 14.2 innings pitched against the Brewers last year, a span of three starts. The fact that this Brewers lineup is mostly healthy shouldn’t help Liriano here so I will just avoid him tonight. I would probably just avoid most Pirates hitters tonight, too.
Russell Martin (C) – $5132
One guy that has absolutely destroyed Liriano in his career is Carlos Gomez. In just 16 career at-bats, mini-CarGo has eight hits with four of those for extra bases. Peralta is an interesting starter for those looking for a cheap option, though I would probably just avoid him because his WHIP is a big time ongoing concern.
