San Jose Sharks at Anaheim Ducks
The Sharks haven’t had the best of results of late, posting just three wins in their last 10 games. Those games include losses to Nashville, Winnipeg, Calgary, Washington, and Florida. It’s been an ugly stretch of games from a fantasy perspective, so it’ll be curious to see what they do tonight.
The Sharks are remaining steadfast in their lines though I wonder how much longer that lasts at this rate. The curious thing about this run is this: San Jose has scored 17 goals in their last six games and nearly half (eight) have come on the power play. With the team scoring so little at even strength, even a couple of goals by the opposition could likely force overtime or a shootout.
The Ducks haven’t fared too much better of late, considering they have two losses to Edmonton in their previous seven games (though they have managed to beat Vancouver twice, so what the heck). They have only scored one power play goal in their last four games, though, so the secondary guys like Nick Bonino might not have as much value as they did a couple of weeks ago.
Two of the four games this year between these teams have been one-goal games and each team has scored 12 goals. This will be another close one, probably without more than five goals. I would just go with some 50/50 picks tonight.
