Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 7

Cory Schneider

Anaheim Ducks at Vancouver Canucks

The Anaheim Ducks are playing .500 hockey over their last six games and here’s been their competition: Edmonton (three times), Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Nashville. Not a playoff team to be seen and the Ducks are playing .500 hockey. Tonight also makes three games in four days and back-to-back games on the road for them. The team has also given up three power play goals against in their last four games. In short, this team has not been playing very well of late and tonight might be a good night to fade them. Here’s the curious part: The Ducks were in this exact situation just over a week ago, as they lost in Edmonton and then went on the road into Vancouver the next night and shelled the Canucks 5-1.

The Canucks ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday night with a 2-1 win against Los Angeles that was one of the team’s best games of the second half of the season. The Sedins are back playing together after starting that Los Angeles game apart (why, I have no idea). They both have reasonable prices tonight so it might not be a bad idea to double-stack them, much like a hamburger. Also, Alex Edler’s price has reached a pretty low point (I guess it’s pretty much been there all year) and he’s getting top power play duties.

Anaheim isn’t playing well of late but in four games against the Canucks this year, they have won all four games (going back to November) and have outscored them 21-6 in those games. Even without the 9-1 blowout, the Ducks have still owned the Canucks this year. I don’t feel good either way about this game so I’ll just take some good plays from both sides for 50/50s and leave the GPPs alone tonight.
