Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – April 5

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a six-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Terrence Ross TOR ($8,423)

Ross has been one of the favorite punt options in daily fantasy basketball this season and for good reason. He has consistently been under $9K and has started almost every game for the Raptors. Toronto takes on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight which gives Ross added value in the rebounding department. The Bucks are among the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, and at 6-foot-7, Ross is good for at least five rebounds tonight. Add in the fact that he has scored 28.75 fantasy points in three of his last six games and he could very well reach 24 tonight, which would be great value for the former Washington star.

Forward

Maurice Harkless ORL ($8,066)

Harkless and the Magic take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, but will be without guard Arron Afflalo, meaning Harkless will have a larger role on offense. At just $8K, great value for the former St. Johns star is at just 24 fantasy points. Since Harkless is playing well over 30 minutes in almost every game and with his offensive role increasing he could see that tonight against a Minnesota team who is allowing over 107 points per game in the last five. Harkless has only scored in single digits twice since March began, making his floor very high which is a key element in a short slate. Get him into your lineups tonight.

Center

Henry Sims PHI ($10,687)

Since becoming a member of the Sixers, Sims has seen his production escalate astronomically. Whether or not he is one of the Sixers’ big men for the next few years is irrelevant for tonight’s pick, but he is certainly making a name for himself in the daily fantasy community. For a center under $11K, there are too many risks to take. Not with Sims, who has scored under 15 fantasy points twice since the beginning of March and has been on fire of late with five games of over 25 fantasy points in his last eight contests. At just $10.6K good value for him would be 25 fantasy points or more. Considering the Sixers take on the Brooklyn Nets whose leading rebounder in the last nine games is Mason Plumlee with under six boards per game, Sims should have a good day. Expect him to come close to a double-double and score close to 20 points, which would bring him to great value right away.

Optimized Lineup

G – Shaun Livingston BKN ($10,035)

G – Ricky Rubio MIN ($12,895)

G – Terrence Ross TOR ($8,423)

F – Kevin Love MIN ($22,071)

F – Maurice Harkless ORL ($8,066)

F – Josh Smith DET ($13,168)

C – Henry Sims PHI ($10,687)

U – DeMar DeRozan TOR ($14,148)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
