New York Yankees (Pineda) at Toronto Blue Jays (Dickey)
The excitement of Toronto’s home opener and Masahiro Tanaka’s debut is over and it’s time to settle things down a bit.
There’s a lot of unknown with Michael Pineda and I don’t think the best time to take that risk is his first start of the season on the road at the Rogers Centre. R.A. Dickey actually pitched fairly well against the Yankees last year (2.54 ERA in four starts) but the lineup is very different in 2014 than it was in 2013.
Alfonso Soriano (OF) – $4362
Kelly Johnson (OF) – $4954
With Pineda being such an unknown, I wouldn’t lean to a heavy Blue Jays lineup today. One guy that just keeps hitting is Melky Cabrera, and another that has beat heck out of right-handed pitching for the last year is Adam Lind.
Melky Cabrera (OF) – $4853
Adam Lind (1B) – $5578
