Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 3

Claude Giroux

Pittsburgh Penguins at Winnipeg Jets

The big news of the day is that the Penguins will be getting back one of their most important players. No, not Evgeni Malkin… No, not Kris Letang… No, not Pascal Dupuis. Ok listen, it’s Paul Martin and he’s important: The Olympian will help the depth of the Penguins defense that has seen Matt Niskanen plateau, Olli Maatta be a healthy scratch and the aforementioned Kris Letang go down with a stroke.

Winnipeg has played themselves out of a playoff spot and have scored two goals or fewer in five of their last eight games. Evander Kane has been relegated to the third line with Matt Halischuk and Eric O’Dell (hah, yep) so his DFS value is completely shot.

Prior history between these two teams has shown a lot of goals: There have been 25 goals between these two teams in four games over the last two years and no game has produced less than four. If I had to pick, I would stack the Penguins but I worry about plus/minus. Rather, I would just rather take a player or two for 50/50s and stay away from everyone else.
