Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 3

Claude Giroux

Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks

A few weeks ago, this would have been a march to a loss for the Minnesota Wild. But without Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane in the ‘Hawks lineup probably until the playoffs, this team look a lot different. All of a sudden, there’s a bright ray of hope for a Minnesota team that beat Los Angeles on Monday and where a couple of more wins would solidify their playoff aspirations. One interesting names is Charlie Coyle, as he continues to play on the Koivu line at even strength and is still boasting a relatively cheap DFS price tag.

If the injury to Jonathan Toews wasn’t enough, the team has scored just eight goals in their last five games and have lost four of those. Quite a bit of this seems to be driven by percentages (i.e. luck) but an unlucky team missing their two best players will probably not get lucky very soon. For now, I’m standing pat on the Blackhawks until I see them rebound without Toews in the lineup.

Those looking for a bit of adventure might want to stack the top power play unit from Minnesota. Those that are feeling less adventurous (and I am not feeling that adventurous) should probably just pick a guy or two for 50/50s and that’s it.
