Dallas Stars at Philadelphia Flyers
Dallas’ recent three game losing streak has bumped the team out of the playoffs and now they are the ones playing catch up.
Trying to figure out which right winger will end up on the top line for Dallas is becoming a crap shoot. It was Rich Peverley last week and then after his on-ice incident, it was back to Valeri Nichushkin. In the last game, Nichushkin was replaced in the third period by Alex Chiasson. I would wait to see what the lines are in morning skate, but it’s unlikely that whoever ends up on that line can be relied upon for a full game. Dallas has gone goalless on the power play in their last three games but have given up two power play goals against.
Philadelphia is starting to get on a serious roll.
The Flyers have won three in a row and are now 6-1-1 in the month of March. Those wins include the Rangers, the Penguins twice, and the Blackhawks. Fairly impressive stuff. Part of the three game winning streak has been propelled by the special teams; they have three power play goals for in those games while they have gone perfect on the penalty kill. This team has also scored at least three goals in eight of their last nine games.
This game should be pretty high-scoring on both sides. I don’t like the spot for any goaltender in this contest but the top scoring lines should produce enough for DFS value. The Stars took a 5-1 game in Philadelphia back in Dallas so they definitely have the potential to explode offensively.
