Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – March 6

Josh Collacchi examines every game in the NBA to piece together his optimal daily fantasy lineup.

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is just a three-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Kendall Marshall LAL ($8,787)

Even though Marshall is not the starter anymore, he is still putting up good numbers. Tonight the Clippers and the Lakers face off in the Staples Center, and Marshall will look to keep his double-digit assist streak alive. Marshall needs just 22 fantasy points to reach good value, and in a fast-paced game, he should do so.

Blake Griffin LAC ($18,503)

Griffin always benefits from his matchup, and he performs well against teams who play fast and cannot rebound. The Lakers can do neither, which makes this a dream matchup for the former Oklahoma Sooner. Expect well over a double-double for Griffin.

Tiago Splitter SA ($7,988)

The Spurs take on the Miami Heat tonight, and as every savvy fantasy owner knows, the Heat struggle against opposing centers. Splitter is the best cheap play at center tonight at under $8K, and should see 20-25 minutes. Splitter is averaging over 16 fantasy points per game in his last six, and should exceed that tonight with a good matchup.

Optimized Lineup

G – Manu Ginobili SA ($10,407)

G – Marco Belinelli SA ($7,461)

G – Kendall Marshall LAL ($8,787)

F – Tim Duncan SA ($15,724)

F – Wesley Johnson LAL ($11,045)

F – Blake Griffin LAC ($18,503)

C – Tiago Splitter SA ($7,988)

U – Chris Paul LAC ($19,307)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
