Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – February 25

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a seven-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

J.J. Barea, MIN ($6,564)

Barea has been very good in a cheap role for daily fantasy this year, and tonight that trend should continue. He is averaging just above 17 fantasy points in his last four games, and is averaging 13 fantasy points for the entire season. His floor for the season has been at least a 1.5 value, which is great for a cheap player. But as of late he is averaging just under a three value, which is huge. Get him into your lineups tonight against the Suns, who are nothing to worry about defensively.

Forward

Trevor Booker, WAS ($6,935)

If you missed the boat on Booker the first time around, now is the time to redeem yourself. Nene is hurt, and out for six weeks. That leaves room for Booker to shine once again. He will be splitting time with Kevin Seraphin, but the last time Nene was injured, Booker was an easy double-double guy. At under $7K, good value would be anything over 18 fantasy points. Should Booker get enough minutes tonight against the Magic, he should reach that with ease.

Center

Gorgui Dieng, MIN ($4,465)

It is not often that you will see two Timberwolves in a value article, but with the injuries to Pekovic and now Ronny Turiaf, Dieng is almost forced into minutes. In the last two games Dieng has averaged 17.5 minutes and 16 fantasy points per. At just $4.4K, there is not a better option at center on DraftStreet. The Wolves take on the Suns tonight and expect at least 10 fantasy points, which is a great floor for such a cheap player.
