Anaheim Ducks at Nashville Predators
Anaheim has been on a pretty big slide (for them) in their last 10 as the Ducks are just 4-6 in their last 10 games and they’ve also been shutout in two of their last three games. The scoring chances have dried up a bit for the Ducks and conversely so has their goal totals. They are also just 1-for-17 on the power play in their last six games. It can’t hurt the Ducks to get away from their own barn as they’ve won back to back games on the road and they were games against Los Angeles and St. Louis, pretty stiff competition.
The Predators are a pretty tough team to solve; in the last couple weeks alone, this team has lost to Edmonton and Calgary but beaten Winnipeg and New Jersey and also took St. Louis and Minnesota to overtime. It seems like this is a team that plays to the level of its competition, which means Anaheim should be in tough tonight.
The goal scoring is too spread out on Nashville so even if they fill the net (which I don’t think will happen), there’s not many people to rely on besides Craig Smith and Shea Weber.
The last time Anaheim was in Nashville was during Anaheim’s winning streak in January and even then it was just a 4-3 game. I expect this one to be close as well and will probably avoid the high-priced Anaheim players given the team’s play lately.
